SEMINAR №1: “Psychological assessment of statement validity of given information”
The seminar is aimed at polygraph examiners, investigators, detectives, court psychologist experts, scientists who study problems of statement validity assessment, enterprise security service people. The lecture will allow the listeners to get acquainted with the existing specialized methods in the sphere of psychological statement validity assessment of information, as well as acquire skills to operatively identify the signs of verbal and nonverbal deception based on real cases.
Seminar Program:
• Grounding of the complex approach to psychological statement validity assessment of given information.
• Brief overview of the specialized interview for psychological statement validity assessment (The Reid Technique, FAINT, MITT).
• Recommendations for drawing up the specialized interview.
• Psychological analysis of nonverbal communication within the specialized interview.
• Stereotypical behavior of guilty/non-guilty individuals during the interview and polygraph examination.
• Real life case examples.
• Brief overview of the specialized methods of psychological assessment of the Free Narrative stage (CBSA, Reality Monitoring, SCAN, MASAM).
• General principals of analysis of the Free Narrative stage.
• Real life case examples (Video materials viewing)
• Analysis of the psychological signs of statement validity/invalidity in the speech and behavior.
• Real life case examples.
On completion of the seminar, the attendees are issued: – Seminar content materials – Certifi cate The cost of the 5-day seminar course is 2,000 Euro (USD) for a group of 4 to 20 people. Visual psychodiagnostics in the work.
a) the constitutional model of the individual;
b) psychophysiology;
c) non-verbal manifestations of emotional states.
Technique of communication.
Groups of methods of psychological influence:
a) Based on the flow of mental processes (human thinking, the features of his intellect).
b) The use of mental states, in which control over statements is weakened.
c) Methods, which are based on the use of certain features of people’s self-awareness.
Stimulation and use of informative behavioral manifestations and arbitrary statements.
Psychophysiology, as a means of synthesizing preliminary probabilistic information about a subject.
Working with objects and space during the checks of the information provided.
Informative behavioral reactions (nonverbal information in communication):
a) body movements;
b) facial expressions;
c) speaking ("language of speech");
d) sight (eyes);
e) Voice indicators (vocal channel);
f) visible physiological manifestations.
